Can you imagine a world without males? This is not sci-fi. For desert grassland whiptail lizards (Aspidoscelis uniparens) this is a reality. No males at all! All individuals are females and are genetically identical. They reproduce by parthenogenesis. Thanks god, we humans mix our genes and males won't get extinct in the near future ... I hope.

Colors in mIRC (part 1)
Have you ever wondered how to generate colorful letters in mIRC? It's easy as 1-2-3-4. There is a step-by-step instruction:
1. Press Control and K at the same time. A small pop-up window appears. These are IRC color codes. Control+K also generated a "control code"
which instructs mIRC to interpret the numbers that follow it as color codes:

2. Type two color codes separated by a comma. Do not press Control+K again! Just type both numbers. You could also pick a color from the color box but that would close the window and you would not be able to see what numbers correspond to what colors. Here we typed 12 for dark-blue letters and 11 for light-blue background:

3. Type some text. Here we say "Hello":

4. Press ENTER and voilĂ :

Curried Tofu with Peanuts
"Curried Tofu with Peanuts" is a vegan dish with tofu and peanuts. If you like tofu, curry and peanuts you will like it. Tofu and curry, and peanuts - mmmm... You can see it on the picture. Tofu, curry, peanuts, and green peas on whole wheat pasta. Prepared and consumed by me.
This is the recipe:

Curried Tofu with Peanuts
3/4 cup chopped or whole peanuts
1 pound tofu, drained and cubed
3 tablespoons oil
1 onion, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon curry powder
1 cup peas (fresh, frozen, or canned)
1 carrot, diced
Sauté the onions and garlic in oiled frying pan. Add remaining ingredients and cook over medium heat for 10-20 minutes. Add a little water if needed.
Variations: Use garlic powder or ginger instead of garlic. Use different nuts or vegetables.

My First Publication
This is my first published computer program. It was October 1988, XXth century. The program was created for an ancient machine called Atari 65XE. It was an 8-bit wonder. I spent countless hours playing with LDAs and STAs (those who know assembly language know what I'm talking about) and of course playing great Atari 8-bit games.
Oh yes, this is the source code of my small application that generates colorful waves:
