Colors in mIRC (part 1)

Have you ever wondered how to generate colorful letters in mIRC? It's easy as 1-2-3-4. There is a step-by-step instruction:

1. Press Control and K at the same time. A small pop-up window appears. These are IRC color codes. Control+K also generated a "control code" which instructs mIRC to interpret the numbers that follow it as color codes:


2. Type two color codes separated by a comma. Do not press Control+K again! Just type both numbers. You could also pick a color from the color box but that would close the window and you would not be able to see what numbers correspond to what colors. Here we typed 12 for dark-blue letters and 11 for light-blue background:

3. Type some text. Here we say "Hello":


4. Press ENTER and voilĂ :
